eUMIST Authentication on Eric (inc. NIS+ to NIS)

Eric need to be setup to authenticate via eUMIST (LDAP) and converted to use NIS for name-services, not NIS+.

It should be possible to do the following with Eric still in service (or perhaps "at-risk") :

• add necessary libraries (copy from Cosmos):
  • openldap
  • pamldap
  • nssldap
  • put in s-links
  
  
• add/edit config files (copy Cosmos) :
  • /etc/nsswitch.conf
  • /etc/pam.conf
  • /etc/ldap.conf

• copy Admin_Objects software from Cosmos to Eric (for account creation and management);

URS (Cornelis)

The Cosmos accounts in the URS need modification to reflect the change from the name Cosmos to the name Universe, only.
