The following are pointers to some Web sites which may prove useful.

6.1. GNU Compilers

• The Gnu Compiler Collection site at gcc.gnu.org.

6.2. The C++ Language

Whilst C is a relatively "stable" language, C++ changes from compiler-to-compiler and (seemingly) month-to-month. The following sites may help resolve many issues:

• The C/C++ Users Journal site at www.cuj.com.
• C++ Annotations, a document from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands for those who know C and would like to make the transition to C++.
• The C++ ISO/ANSI Standard.
• The C++ page --- that is, it belongs to a certain Bjarne Stroustrup.

6.3. Objective C

Objective C is a fully-fledged object-oriented version of C (contrast C++ which is really a bit of a bodge). The following will give a good introduction:
