5. Salford Fortran 95 Compiler
5.1. Introduction
At the time of writing the Fortran 95 v2.52 compiler, FTN95
was the most recent Fortran compiler available from Salford.
However this compiler is not compatible with any current version
of the NAg numerical analysis libraries. (The older Salford Fortran 90
compiler, FTN90, is compatible.) FTN95 is available
from ISD Helpdesk on CDROM; it is not available in the PC Clusters.
5.2. Compiling and Linking with Salford FTN95
FTN95 may be used to compile and link fortran source code files
into executables using exactly the same commands, at the command line,
as given for FTN90. Alternatively the integrated development
environment (IDE) Plato v2.2 which comes with FTN90 may
be used.
Plato v2.2 has not been fully tested.
5.3. More
ISD has a single copy of the Fortran 95 Users' Guide which may be consulted
at (but not borrowed from) the Helpdesk. This guide is available in
PDF format on
Salford's web site
at /support/compilers.
