Fortran Compilers on Windows 32

Information Systems Department

There are two Fortran compilers available for Windows 32 environments from ISD at UMIST: the Salford Fortran 90 compiler, FTN90, and the Salford Fortran 95 compiler, FTN95.

FTN90 is available in the PC Clusters; FTN95 is not available in the Clusters, but copies may be purchased on CD ROM from Helpdesk provided licensing requirements are met.

The Salford FTN95 compiler will not link to the NAg F90 numerical libraries. If you wish to use these libraries use the Salford FNT90 compiler. (Both compilers successfully link to the NAg F77 libraries.)
