I've tried several routines --- none work! What's going on?

real: REAL or DOUBLE PRECISION

Often source listings in the NAg documentation will include the type real, in contrast to REAL or DOUBLE PRECISION. real means that one should substitute either REAL or DOUBLE PRECISION throughout your source --- which you choose depends upon the system on which you are compiling/linking and running your programmes.

On Cosmos replace real with DOUBLE PRECISION throughout.
