C has many weaknesses:
- difficult to read --- C can easily be "write-only".
- difficult to debug;
- difficult to write portable code;
- poor support for software engineering --- little support for
encapsuation (difficult to divide up projects amongst members of teams);
- poor array handling: large arrays inefficient,
no array-bounds checking option;
- the "standard" is full of holes --- different compilers offer
different C languages...
More:
- The last good thing written in C was Franz Schubert's Symphony
Number 9 --- Erwin Dieterich
