5. Cancelling Batch Jobs

The qdel command can be used to delete all queued NQS requests whose respective request ID is listed on the command line. To delete an NQS request, the invoking user must be the owner; namely the submitter of the request.

The format of the command is:

    qdel <jobno>
where <jobno> is the reference number returned by the qsub command. A jobno or a request id is always of the form jobno.hostname where the hostname identifies the machine i.e. cosmos or eric. For example, if the user mpciiijr want to delete an NQS request name lug.com, shown above, then the command is:
    qdel 1026
This will remove job number 1026 from the NQS system.
